Fundraising
Scouting is a charity, and great scouting requires sufficient funds – to run camps, purchase equipment, provide badges and so on. Please help us raise money so that we can continue to offer a high quality Scouting experience.
See below for a list of our fundraising activities – and please let your Leaders know if you can help out or have new productive ideas!
The Giving Machine
If you shop online through The Giving Machine with shops such as Amazon, CD WOW, Halfords, John Lewis, Play.com, and many many more you can raise money for us without incurring any extra cost to yourself! We get a donation for every purchase you make through the Giving Machine website.
Please sign up with The Giving Machine and set us as your beneficiary and do all your online shopping through them and generate free money for us – at absolutely no cost to you!
eBay Shop
You can buy or sell through the 7th Bebingtons eBay Shop and help us raise money for the Group.
If you sell items on Ebay, you can set a donation percentage to go the Group and eBay will credit back your basic insertion and final value fees (equal to the percentage you donate).
Sainsbury’s Active Kids/Tesco Vouchers
Each year, we collect the vouchers given away by supermarkets. Please donate any you receive to the Group to enable to us get new equipment.
Gift Aid
Another way that we earn money is through Gift Aid. This is tax relief on donations to charities such as us, through which we can reclaim approximately an extra 28% from all donations made to the group, including subs, with no extra cost to you.
